Tackle It Tuesday #1 9/30

Here we go...my first Tackle It Tuesday! And the biggest thing I have to tackle is the kiddo's clothes! OMG it's unreal how many clothes Jasmine has....her drawers are just over flowing and you can barely close them! And poor Jessica, has barely any that fit her anymore. I guess I have to STOP giving those clothes to Jasmine, lol. I am also sick of washing 5 loads a week of just their clothes. It's a bit ridiculous! So today and probably tomorrow I will be going thru that dresser of their's and cleaning it out. I guess it also means that Jasmine doesn't need any clothes for Christmas or her birthday. We'll see what happens when I'm done. hehehehe.

Soccer Mom!

So you've heard me say that I'm officially a soccer mom. Well this past Saturday I actually took pics of the girls playin their games. I never thought that they would have this opportunity. I never did while i was growing up. But I am sooo very happy that my kids can get out there and have fun and learn new things at my expense. LOL. They really enjoy it. Jessi, i think, understands it more than Jasmine. There's more involved in Jessi's games tho too. They have more strategy and they keep score and play with a goalie. For Jasmine's team, since they are younger, there's no goalie, and they dont keep score. It's more for fun at her age level. But it benefits them for when they get into the bigger teams, they'll know more and understand it better. Saturday was a lot of fun. My nephew reffed Jasmine's game, it was so cool! and Jessi's team kicked butt, winning 10-5! It's about time too. They had only won 1 game, the first game. So now our record is 2-2-1. Not bad for kids games, eh? I'll definitely be sad when it's over. Their last games are on the 25th. But maybe after that they can do cheerleading or something for the fall and winter sports until soccer starts back up in April.

Well, I've gone and done it!

Since I've been hearing so much about this series, I finally broke down and ordered it from a book club site that I'm a member of. I was trying to cut back on buying so many books, but I just love great page-turners, that I had to add these to my collection. I really hope that I didn't make a mistake here.

A pet snake?!

My lovely step son came over yesterday with a surprise for us. His snake that he can't take care of anymore! I don't like snakes! They creep me out. But we're gonna keep him. My dh wasn't gonna let him go mistreated and die. I'm very much an animal lover, but this takes the cake! I'll be ok with it as long as he doesn't escape. So this is Fuzzy's new home. Yes, I said Fuzzy. Dh named him, lolol!

Thursday Thirteen 9/18

Thirteen Things about that piss me off!

1. Repeating myself. If you didn't hear me the first time, too bad.
2. Cleaning up after people that know how to do it themselves. Im not talking about my kids. But grown adults that just leave stuff lying around for someone else to pick it up.
3. Idiot drivers! You cannot get on the freeway doing 45 MPH! You will get run over.
4. Idiot drivers again. If you can't do the speed limit, which on most highways is 70 MPH, then you don't need to be on the road.
5. Restaurants that get my order wrong! I hate ordering food a certain way, and it doesnt't come to me the way I ordered it!
6. People that think they are better than someone else. We all have flaws! You are not better than me because you have a nicer car than me or make more money than me. We're equal!
7. People at the grocery store that stop in the middle of the aisle to talk to someone they know. Please people there are telephones. Call them when you get home and get a move on so other people can get by!
8. Mechanics that try to make a buck. My truck needs repair and with the economy the way it is, i can't afford to pay $600 + because I can't bring in my own parts for them to put on. This should be allowed. Everyone would save so much money!
9. People at the gas station that aren't getting gas, but pull up to a pump to go inside to buy stuff! Hello...there are parking spaces for this purpose!
10. Being told what to do....please, i am a grown ass woman! i can do what i want when i want!
11. A parent who thinks s/he is *babysitting* their own kids! Babysitting is when you're watching someone else's kids, not your own!
12. When doctors dont give you a straight answer on what's wrong. Do all the testing you need to do before I leave so I DON'T have to come back! It's your job...do it!
13. And lastly, people who think they know everything! If you did, you'd be in the Guinness Book of World Records!

I Bought Myself a Present!

So last night my dh and I were laying in bed and he was flipping thru the channels, and we stopped on the QVC channel for Gem Week. Last night was all about Tanzanite. And I saw this, and I just had to have it! My dh is a hunter and has been buying a lot of hunting gear, and I really haven't gotten much. So he said I could call and order it. It's very pretty. And I just had to share with you what I got.

Now a little background on Tanzanite. It's a very rare gem and when it's gone, it's gone. The darker the color the better the quality. Mine isn't so dark, but I still have a piece of it, that will hopefully be worth something.

Tuesday Toot

First off I'd like to apologize for being out of the loop here lately. Things were really crazy the past month. Hopefully they are starting to slow down. That being said, today's blog is about me accomplishing entering some contests! I know there are more out there, but the ones I've entered are from Heather's blog over at My Quest For Sanity. She has some really cool giveaways goin on so head over there and check em out. And I entered one from Momdot. They are always having great giveaways too! Head over there as well and join! Its really fun. I'm hoping to win at least one of these giveaways. If I don't, I'll scream. I did a lot of hard work to get my entries in. *updates*

well for starters. last week was a very bad week. i had stomach pains until Friday night. i ended up in the ER on Wednesday night after not being able to hold anything down and diarrhea. i know, tmi. but i was just so sick. i had to have IV fluids. something for the nausea, and pain. first they gave me Demerol, which didn't help at all. so then they gave me morphine. it took away the pain, but it didn't knock me out. i was sent for a cat scan so i had to drink this stuff, it made me throw up. so instead they did a IV dye. well, while putting that thru, they blew my vein! so they had to start a new IV and start all over again! very painful. everything came back clear. IV was out by 2 am. but because they gave me a narcotic, i had to stay for at least 5 hours. so i wasn't cleared to go until 4 am! needless to say, i only got like 2 hours of sleep in the hospital and then maybe 3 hours after i got home. so i was pretty much done in all day Thursday. i was put on a strict clear liquid diet for 12 hours, which i might add SUCKS! i still didn't eat much until Friday. i didn't want to put too much on my belly just in case. Saturday was a very busy day. soccer games that overlapped. and soccer pics that overlapped Jasmine's game. the pics went well. although, Jasmine did cry, lol. so i had to stand there next to her while they took her pic. then at her game, i had to pull her out because she wasn't feeling well. she was complaining of a belly ache. then later that day she was complaining of her throat hurting. i looked at it and it's covered with red and white spots (strep throat!). so her appt is at 1:15 today. no soccer practice for her today, which means she gets to just jump in on the game Saturday without practice. but the weather is supposed to be really nice all week so maybe her and Jessi can get outside in the backyard and practice a bit. Brian left Saturday after I got back from soccer to go hunting. Turkey hunting. He didn't see the first one. He saw lots of deer tho. but it wasn't his property and he was told not to kill any deer. :( we coulda had us some nice deer steaks! lol.

My dad had a bad fall

My dad was getting out of bed Saturday night and tripped over one of the dogs. He lost his balance and fell face first into a wooden garbage pail in his bedroom. He broke his nose in 4 places and has 6 stitches there. He also broke his orbital bone in his cheek, caused by wearing his glasses. And he has 10 stitches in his chin! Poor guy. He was in the hospital for almost 8 hours! What's really scary about this is he has degenerative bone disorder and has 2 fused vertibrae in his neck. He is having more surgery soon to fuse 2 more and if he would have fell any harder he could have snapped his neck! He's a very lucky man and is counting his blessings! I'm just sorry I wasn't there when it happened. Feel better soon dad, I love you!

Updates from 8/29-9/3/08

I'd like to apologize for not being around. it's been a crazy week! On Friday my mom and sister drove into town from Michigan for the Labor Day holiday. Storms also came in and canceled soccer practice for Jessi. It only rained a little bit, but left a beautiful double rainbow! Of course I didnt have my camera handy lol. The rest of the weekend went good. We played lots of cards and I ended up runnin the table and taking everyone's money! HAHAHAHA The kitten, Rocky, has a new home. He was starting to climb my screen on my new patio door. So my neighbor took him to his parents' farm...he has 500 ACRES to run free on now! At least he went to a good home, and i know he'll be taken care of. there are a shit ton of other cats over there as well so he has lots of playmates. we had cookouts with lots of yummy food, and way too much junk food! i bet you i've gained about 10 lb just from the weekend! we watched the premier of 90210 and loved it! we had an argument of one of the characters, whether he was on the original show or not, so i came to the computer to do a search, in the midst of that i kicked the wheel to the computer chair and broke my baby toe! it still hurts like a SOB! its all purple and yucky looking...and here's something even better....it's on my right foot, my driving foot! wtf?! lmao. they left wednesday morning, and it was finally peace and quiet! happy to see them come, but happy to see them go. lol. and ive been trying to get the house back in order, but with a broken toe it hurts to walk and then baby is wanting attention too, so not much is getting done. oh! and last night, Brian and I were doing some laundry. our dryer hasnt been working right...2-3 cycles to get the clothes dried! so he unplugged it and took the vent out of the wall....wanna know what the problem was??? a damn bird's nest in the dryer vent!!! we are so lucky that it didnt cause a fire...we woulda been doomed and homeless!! but it's all cleaned out and working like a brand new dryer again! so now things should start settling down and i'll be able to keep up with my fellow bloggers and follow some more new ones!
