My new friend

Well the bird is gone. Finally flew away! But we have now adopted a kitten. We named him Rocky. He's been hanging around for 3 days unclaimed so we took him in. Well not exactly in, he stays outside in my fenced in yard. We went to the store today and got him some food, dishes, and a flea collar. Rocky is very lovable and friendly! He loves to play and he tries to nurse from my arm, so I'm thinking he was dumped and abandoned. Poor kitty. But isn't he just the cutest thing you've ever seen!?!?!

Tuesday toot!

So this past week, let's see what I've accomplished and am proud of.
1. Even though Saturday morning started out like hell, I still got the kids to their games on time. Jessi's team won too! 9-6.
2. I'm not proud that my dh and I fought for the rest of the weekend, but I stood my ground this time! I told him off and made him realize he isn't always right like he thinks he is! So I'm proud to have stood up to him instead of just sitting there taking it. I'm not tolerating it anymore!
3. I've adopted a wild bird. A dove. He showed up on my deck this morning and hasn't left! I threw him a piece of bread and gave him a bowl of water. He is just hanging out on my deck. Lol!
4. My mom and sister are coming down from Michigan for the long weekend, so I've accomplished a lot of cleaning. Still have more to go like the bathrooms and such. Ugh! I hate cleaning bathrooms! Sorry Brian no more bitching.

UGH UGH UGH

Mean mommy moment this morning....
I feel so horrible! This morning I was starting to get the kids ready for the day since they have a soccer game at noon and 12:45. So they were eating breakfast, fine...until they were taking their sweet ass time! so i rushed em to finish up. then it was bath time for Jasmine, (Jessi took her shower last night after soccer practice), and i told Jasmine to get in and wash up. I walk away for a few minutes, and when i go back in there, she was just then at that moment, putting soap on a wash cloth! i told her she needed to hurry up cuz we had to go. so then jessi cant find her glasses, she SWEARS up and down she left em on the toy box. I started going off at that moment...SCREAMING at them....they are old enough to know how to keep track of their stuff, Im not gonna go thru this everyday of *where's this?* *where's that?* it ends today. start keeping track of your stuff or dont get anything ever again!!!! i also was yelling at them that they to really start listening to me the very FIRST time i ask them to do something! im not repeating myself anymore (major pet peeve)!!! if i have to attempt to ask them a second time, they will get swatted on the ass and not play soccer or be grounded, plain and simple!!! i feel so horrible that i had to go off on them like this, but enough is enough! its time to start listening, paying attention, etc!

Proud mommy moment

So Jasmine comes home from school today. Im looking thru her backpack and what do i find??? an award! Jasmine was the star student for the day!!! and everyone drew pics of her. they are so cute at this age. looking at all the different versions of how kids draw just amazes me! Im so proud of my little girl....well, big girl now. i thought she'd have a hard time adjusting, but she has proven me wrong! she fell right into place and is part of it all.
When she first started school she was really behind. Wouldnt even talk. She was in speech therapy for both years of preschool (actually she still sees the therapist once a week). and she was also developmentally delayed. in 2 years she has come a long way. and i am very proud of how much she has acheived and accomplished. I have a feeling she will be my top student and graduate with honors!

Tuesday Toot!

Well here's my very first one! Woot! We've been accomplishing a lot these past couple of weeks. Painting and laying hardwood floors. Its coming along great! Painting is just about done. Well the walls are done, but we still have the baseboards to do. The floor guys came today and got almost half the floor done! After they get finished we'll get the baseboards done. So enjoy the pics of the floor first. There's before and after. The first one is of the nasty carpet that we tore up last night and the second one is of the new floor. Then Heather dancing and stomping on it.

Officially a *Soccer Mom*

Soccer practices have begun. Kids did great at their first practices. First game is this Saturday! I can't wait! Just a small glitch tho. The games are at 2 separate fields and they overlap each other. Lol. I'll figure it out tho.

New toy!!!

So i went out and bought the family a new toy today....a Nintendo Wii!!! it is sooooo much fun. for those of you who don't have one of these, it isn't like your normal video games where you just sit there and hit buttons. you are actually standing and moving around! There's even a thing where you can test your fitness age....it's sooo awesome! I highly recommend it!!

Schools on lock down!

So Wednesday night there was a violent home invasion in our town and 3 masked men beat the guy up with a pistol so bad he has staples all over his head! So today they've made 2 arrests and the third was spotted near a school after another home invasion that happened last night. All the schools were on lock down this morning. It has now been lifted but they are still on high alert and the kids are not allowed to go outside. Talk about scary! This is a fairly quiet town, and for something like this to happen makes me think I'm back living in Detroit. I hope they can find the third guy and get him off the streets!

wordless wednesday

Painting

SUCKS! we painted for 8 hours and are nowhere near being done! But its coming along and looks really good so far. my legs and feet hurt from getting up and down from the floor so many times to get paint, and my hands and fingers are sore from holding the paintbrush for so long. i got a cramp in my finger earlier that just about brought me to tears. lol. but we should be done by tomorrow night. i bet the suspense is killing you huh?? lol! i'll post pics i promise. most likely tomorrow night when we're all done!

Not too much to blog about

just been a relaxing weekend. I did manage to get the girls' soccer stuff after having to go to TWO stores! our local Walmart didnt have anything to choose from so i hadda drive to the next town, 10 miles away to get what i needed. No it's not far, but with the gas prices still very high we try to limit our driving an how far we go. My husband managed to get a little too drunk and ended up sleeping outside on the deck all night! hahahahahahaha serves him right! he didnt come in until daylight! he says he aint drinking like that anymore. Ha! we'll see about that one! Now we are getting ready to paint the living room and hallway since he's on vacation all week! i'll post before and after pics after it's all done.

A day at the park

Today my friend Jessica and i took the kids to the park. It's such a beatiful day for it! The kids had a blast runnin around and playing. Heather did more exploring than playing considering she cant climb yet. But she loved the slide a lot! I thought I'd share a few pics. Enjoy!

Well the first

week of school has gone by pretty smooth! They are starting to adjust to getting up so early again, hahahaha. I guess Jasmine fell asleep on the playground her first day! like i said in the other post she's not used to goin to school all day. and when she was in preschool, she was the afternoon class, so she had all morning to lay around until it was time to get ready. So this is a big step for her! She's doing well, and im amazed. Soccer starts next week, and I have to go shopping for all that stuff, UGH! Ive only heard from Jessi's coach so far and her practices will be on Fridays. Im hopin to hear from Jasmine's coach very soon. I paid the money and i should be expecting a call, ya think? If i dont hear from anyone today, i'll be calling on Monday bc that's the first day of practice! we shall see how that goes.

First day of school mayhem

So today is the first day of school. YAY! well it wasnt not so yay this morning. First off, both alarm clocks i had set, didnt go off! so we woke up late, which meant this missed the bus and i had to drive them to school. Not too big of a deal, we still had time. So i drop off Jessi since she's older and can function on her own. We get to Jasmine's classroom, and she's fine and all excited. Taking her things out of her back pack and puttin it in her locker, getting a name tag and seeing some old and new friends. I go to leave, and i see that she's not interacting with anyone. She's just standing there with her head down. So i asked her what was wrong and she runs over to me with tears in her eyes as she starts to cry! Oh no, not the waterworks! I start tearing up, not a good thing! I have to drive home and cant be all blubbery, lol! Jasmine's teacher came over to her and told her that everything was gonna be alright and told her about all the fun stuff they are gonna do, and she gave me a great big hug and a kiss, and she was fine when i left. Im just wondering how her day is going. She isnt used to being in school all day!

Yay for school!

It starts tomorrow 8AM sharp! Im so excited, im beside myself. Is that bad? LOL. It's been a long summer with 3 kids running me ragged. Not to mention Heather started walkin last month so it's been even more hectic, tryna keep her outta stuff! The kids are excited about school too. Yesterday was their orientations. They got to meet their new teachers and see some of their friends. Jessi will be starting in a brand new elementary school this year. The place is massive, you almost need a map to get around, hahahaha. so yeah im really excited. but on the other hand, im kinda sad. Jasmine will be in kindergarten this year, and it's all day. So it'll be just Heather and me all day long, and I'll be bored and not know what to do with myself, hehehehehe. Someone will have to keep me outta trouble. LOL

Sorry it's been so long...

since I posted. Ive been busy busy bumblebee, lmfao! First we went to Michigan for a long weekend. We had a great time. Saw the family, swam, went out to eat for my mom's birthday and then played WII and guitar hero for the first time and had a blast doing it! I want a WII so bad! it's so much fun. But very tiring, you definitely get a work-out! LOL. After we got back I was busy getting the girls ready for school and buying all their supplies and school clothes. Then this past weekend we took our last camping trip of the season. That was an awesome time too! Just relaxed and laughed the whole weekend. Aside from the huge hornets and the HEAT! It was sweltering! So thank God it was our last trip. Once school starts we'll be too busy with that and soccer to go before it gets too cold. Now Brian on the other hand, wants to go on October after soccer ends, but Im pretty sure that wont be happening, but if he really wants to go, he'll be goin by himself, LOL. SO here are some pics from Michigan. I didnt get any from camping. lol. Didnt even pull my camera out of the bag hahaha
