R&R

Who gets that anymore? Especially being a parent. Obviously my dh thinks he does. Yes he's the only one working and works hard all week. But I work hard too taking care of 3 kids all week and keeping the house clean or at least presentable. I deserve a little R&R too don't I? He's always wanting to go out riding on the motorcycle and I'm stuck at the house with the kids! I would just like to get away for a bit myself. And not just to the store either, I mean really get away for a couple hours. I'm going to Michigan on Friday and guess who doesn't wanna go BC he wants to stay at home and relax? Yup you guessed it! So ill be with the kids all by myself all weekend long while he's at home sitting on his ass! Ill be going on strike soon and then everyone's gonna be in trouble!

Growing up!

Heather is 15 months old. She is the baby of the family, and always will be. She is growing leaps and bounds daily! She's really smart, and tho she may not be able to talk, she knows what you are saying when you are talking to her. And when you tell her *no*, it's just too cute to watch that lower lip come out...lol. So i thought I'd share a video of her walking. She just started last monday, 7*7*08. When you watch it, you would think she's been walking for 6 months. She's not as wobbly as most babies are when they first start walking. Maybe it's bc she waited so long. LOL. It's very sad that my baby is growing up, and i know this day was coming, but its still a surprise when it happens. But here it is, watch and enjoy.

Need to catch a break!

So I get a phone call on Friday, Heather has MRSA! That antibiotic resistant staph infection. Good thing the antibiotics she's on it's sensitive to, and is killing the infection. Her leg is healing up nicely. So Friday night around 6PM when all the dr offices are closed and Urgent Care and hour from here is closing at 7PM, Jasmine says her throat and head hurt. My initial thought is Strep throat. I check her temp, 102.3! i give her some tylenol since she refused to eat the motrin pills. and she goes to bed. she's up and down all night...her temp never got below 101.0. Saturday morning, Jessica comes to me and says that Jasmine is puking. So i get up clean it up, get her dressed and myself and we are off to the ER, for the second time in a week! We were in an out in less than an hour, fastest ER visit EVER!! her fever is 101.1 when we get there, they give her some Tylenol since i had given her Motrin at 9AM. they do a strep culture, negative, but give her antibiotics anyway. UGH Doctor's i tell ya. Give meds even when tests come back negative. I guess they need to get paid somehow, right? So we go home, she seems to act better that day. We go out to dinner, and she doesn't eat. Her stomach hurts, she said. We come home, i give her meds and she goes to bed only to wake up and puke the next morning! so i finally told her she needs to eat or she's just gonna keep puking. i fixed her toast and then i made pancakes later on which she ate 2. once she ate, her stomach felt better and her fever finally broke! Now why is it that one gets sick, the other child(ren) follow behind??? When that happens, i can never catch a break! It drives me insane! I think the next time one gets sick, they will be quarantined to their rooms as to not infect everyone else! Im done with the multiple dr visits and ER! So please, kids, no more sickness for a few months! LOL

Summertime!

So its summertime. The kids are out of school and enjoying their vacation before heading back into dreadful school. The cicadas have come and gone, thank God! Summertime is a time for swimming and picnics, and camping! So why do I feel like Im missing out on so much? Is it bc im such a homebody? Is it the gas prices? Is it bc I know after summertime, winter is right around the corner? Fall is a very pretty season, the weather is almost perfect and the leaves turn hundreds of different beautiful colors! I think this summer has been almost the worst out of all I can remember. Maybe I need to get out more. But until gas prices come down, I am stuck. We are stuck. We can't do anything really. We'd spend more on gas than we would the entire trip! Its just rediculous! So the moral of this blog is that Im getting cabin fever, which isnt good since it is summertime and all. But cant do anything bc gas is so high! Please continue to pray that something will be done about it and we can start enjoying life again!

Blogging

Not very good at keeping a blog, but i like this site and how it works. So i will try to keep posting here. I like to jot down my thoughts and feelings from time to time. It helps ease my mind a little when things get hectic. Im sure everyone has those days, so i know you all know what Im talking about. LOL. But if I happen to get a little behind someone please let me know so I can give updates to things. LOL Thanks. and enjoy future posts!
So my 15 month old daughter has a staph infection on her leg. Dont know what caused it yet, still waiting on those results. But we all carry staph on our bodies, and all it takes it a scratch or a cut or a bug bite and it can get in the wound and voila you have a nasty infection! So please, please make sure you wash hand more frequently. I would hate for anyone else to have to go thru what my poor baby girl is right now. It's very painful!

Intro of me and my family

My name is Jamie and I am a SAHM to 3 beautiful girls. Jessi, 7.5, Jasmine, 5.5, and Heather 15 months. I am married to a wonderful man, Brian. We just celebrated our first wedding anniversary on June 9. He is a truck driver doing local work and is home every night! it's great. We live in Lawrenceburg, KY which is basically in between Louisville and Lexington. It's a great place and very quiet.

I moved here 2 years ago to be with him. I was born and raised in Michigan. The 2 states are very different, and I love it! Kentucky is my home now. I will never go back to Michigan, unless for visits of course.

My kids are great! Jessi is entering the 2nd grade at a brand new school, just built. Jasmine is entering Kindergarten, which i hope she is ready for. Is a little behind for her age, so I just hope it itsnt too overwhelming for her. Heather was born on April 5, 2007, 2.5 weeks early. She amazes me at how fast she learns things! She just started walking 2 days ago, and now the trouble begins. LOL.
